Pushpin Pointillism Canvas Art- Jesus

Pointillism is a painting technique where a painting is made by a series of dots. The dots blend together to form a full image. This method was first introduced by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac in 1886. Though this technique was ridiculed then, it became popular later.
For pushpin pointillism, a pushpin is used to make holes, no paint needed. I taped the picture of Jesus which I wanted to use, on the back of the canvas. Then, carefully I used a pushpin to poke dots over the image, making the picture come alive on the front side of the canvas.

You can use any image or you can draw over the canvas and then poke with pushpins. But make sure to draw very lightly with a pencil.

Happy Art Making!
