DIY Envelopes - Recycled Reused Ad Catalog

DIY Envelopes from Ad Catalog
Won't that be awful to throw away those glossy vibrant ad catalogs? Even if its for recycling. So here we go, make colorful envelopes which can hold gift cards, valentine cards, teacher appreciation notes and more. Reusing paper, catalogs into DIY envelopes!

Marked 2" x 1" on all the four corners, to be cut out. The catalog page was 8" x 6".

The side flap left was 4". It would roughly be the height of the envelope.

Fold the bottom flap, as shown in the pic.

Fold over the side flaps as shown and glue those over the bottom flap.

I scratched the glossy paper so that it gets glued nicely. This step is optional.

Let it dry by securing it with weight on top, takes only few seconds to a minute.

Cut out triangular shapes from the top flap.

Fold the flap down.

Front side of the envelopes. Can use paint/pen or attach a name sticker. Just see that the letters are visible over the different colors of the envelope.

Optional washi tape (paper tape) decoration, giving the envelope a nice border.

Made right in time for the staff appreciation week. Teachers will like the lovey notes which they receive in these vivid envelopes.

Inspired from recycled calendar envelopes from Making Mondays blog, which I stumbled upon. Thanks.

  1. Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you
know a few of the pictures aren't loading correctly.
I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I've tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
